Daybook : Statements About Writing
I believe this is one of the best entries I could chose to show my critical thinking and questioning. This is because In this daybook we had to find a quote that we thought had significance and that what I believe a "good" quote is. Also It shows how I interpreted the quote and If I agreed or disagreed with the author. Another reason why I chose this daybook is because I really enjoyed looking up quotes and trying to interpret them and see how I thought of them. The aspect of critical thinking I was primarily in was analyzing and some multiple perspectives. This is because I had to analyze a quote and understand what they author was trying to convey. While I was searching for a quote I was looking for a quote no one will use, and someone that I have never heard of, which I did. Growth since this assignment would be very significant. This is because I think about literature in a whole new way, This is by not looking at literature in a one sided way, but in a way where you can see it in multiple angles. I can expand on these ideas by looking at new quotes, new books, new literacy activities, and trying to comprehend anything in an abnormal way than what I am used to.

Daybook: Individual Conference
One day book entry I chose for my critical thinking and and questioning tab is the Individual conference Daybook. I chose this piece because I believe it shows how I thought and think know. The first question specifically asks which entry best shows my critical thinking, which I know realized was just to help me perform and do my portfolio. The main aspect of critical thinking I was in was questing and analyzing which is best to choose for the subject matter. This is because the questions made me really think about me as a writer, to see which daybook or blog I best believe shows it. The general concept of this Daybook was so I start to think about all of my daybook entries as which is my best, and which are not, which ones I liked, and which ones I didn't like. The Critical questions I was being asked or put upon were to look at all of my writings at that point to see which demonstrated certain skills, and which ones I enjoyed and disliked. I believe the Statements about writing is still one of my better daybooks, but for growth from then to now, I would say hasn't changed much. To the contrary I do realize where I could make growth. I believe for me to make growth I need to think more outside the box rather than inside.

Daybook: Genre-Inaminate Object
Another Daybook I believe that shows my critical thinking and questioning was an in class assignment labeled as Genre- Inanimate object. The purpose of this daybook was to write a love letter, to an inanimate object. The object I chose was a black button up shirt, which was what the classmate beside me was wearing since I couldn't think of anything. The aspect of critical thinking I was engaging in primarily was connecting and evaluating. This is because I had to integrate writing a love letter, but with a catch, which is to a inanimate object. I had to evaluate the love letter genre and understand how to write one, but then I had to connect a object, to a human. Since the main person of interest in a love letter is a boy or girl, not an object, most of the time. This shows me growing tremendously since before this class I have never done anything like this before. My english classes in High School were jokes compared to this, in this class I actually learn and train my ability as a writing and expand my thoughts of writing and techniques. So I believe my growth is relatively high, and there are multiple ideas or concepts that I can expand this on to. For one when I read the next letter, text, or email I can try to see how it would look if they were in a different type of genre. I could just image how awkward a text message in a postcard form would look like, but it's still something to think about and expand on.
